Jacobs Entertainment Selects Local Couple to Relocate Historic West Street Home
Historic home at 347 West Street awarded after vetting three interested parties
RENO, Nev. (April 18, 2024)— Jacobs Entertainment has selected a Reno couple, Logan and Angelina Needham, to acquire the historic home located at 347 West Street after a thorough vetting of three possible candidates. Jacobs Entertainment acquired the property in February 2024 and solicited bids to sell the home for $1, contingent on the new owners commitment to relocating and preserving the structure.
“It’s important to preserve Reno’s historic homes as we continue to revitalize downtown,” said Jeff Jacobs, CEO of Jacobs Entertainment. “We are happy to see the West Street home go to the Needhams; this is an example of progress and preservation happening hand-in-hand.”
The home was originally built in the 1800s, within a year of Reno’s founding, and is possibly Reno’s oldest home. The home is slated to be relocated in the second half of 2024. The Needhams were selected based on their proximity to the current location and the size of their available land plot.
Jacobs Entertainment continues to make steady progress on the development of J Resort’s Reno Neon Line. In March, Jacobs Entertainment finalized a partnership agreement with the Reno Housing Authority that will result in the construction of a $20 million, 65-unit affordable housing development on second street as construction continues on the new 60 unit development at 245 North Arlington.
